Soham fundraiser ‘beers’ fruit for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices
October 3, 2021
Cheers! Visitors to a popular beer festival showed their ‘brew’ colours by raising vital funds for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices. The Soham Beer and Music Festival was organised by the Rotary Club of Soham Staploe.
EACH was chosen to be the beneficiary last year. However, when the event was cancelled because of COVID, the club kindly chose to roll over its support to 2021. Locals were excited to see the festival return and it took place over the weekend of 13-14 August.
EACH Regional Fundraiser Tina Burdett was invited to a recent presentation evening where, along with Stars charity, both great causes received cheques for £3,150.
Tina, pictured with Rotary Club president Neil Osborne, said: “We’re very grateful to have the support of the Rotary Club of Soham Staploe.
“This cheque will help us make a real difference to the lives of the families we support.”
EACH cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. It has three hospices, including one at Milton, just outside Cambridge. It also has shops across East Anglia, like the one in Churchgate Street, Soham.
