Charity’s popular Christmas tree recycling scheme is back!
November 30, 2022
If you don’t want the hassle of getting rid of your Christmas tree, Arthur Rank Hospice Charity could collect it and recycle it for you.
Their teams of dedicated volunteers will be out and about collecting trees between 12-15 January 2023 in Cambridgeshire postcode areas CB1, CB2, CB3, CB4, CB5, CB21, CB22, CB23, CB24 and CB25 (covering Waterbeach and Landbeach) and some areas of Wisbech.
The Charity welcomes a donation in exchange for taking your real tree to be recycled, but please note you must register in advance.
The festive fundraiser, sponsored by Cooke, Curtis & Co (Trumpington) and Cyber Business Growth (Royston), is only possible if over 150 volunteers donate their time to making the four-day scheme a tree-mendous success.
Arthur Rank Hospice Charity’s Event Fundraiser, Bec Beattie, said: “In January 2022, our community helped us to collect just over 3,000 trees and raise over £56,000! to support people in Cambridgeshire living with an advanced serious illness or other life-limiting condition.
“This coming January we need volunteer drivers, (preferably with their own van), as well as businesses and organisations who can provide vans, and crew members again for a fun day and to help us raise even more funds to provide hospice care to our local communities.”
If you can spare some hours or provide a van for free, please call the fundraising team on 01223 675888 or email christmastrees@arhc.org.uk

The scheme is a true community effort involving a unique collaboration between Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, Just Helping, Cambridge City Council and South Cambridgeshire County Council, local businesses and volunteers.
