A Cambridge company is congratulating three of its employees on achieving a prestigious accreditation from the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC).
Domino Printing has paid tribute to three of its Senior Chemists from the Marking Materials Department – Mariam Khalfey, Mohanad Aldib and Solomon Kimani – who have successfully secured Chartered Chemist (CChem) status through the Domino – RSC Accredited Scheme.
The Scheme has three in-house co-ordinators, Dr Steven Lancaster, Analytical Team Leader, Christina Bird, Senior Analytical Chemist and Fiona Calver, Senior Ink Verification Specialist.
Fiona said: “The Domino-RSC Accredited Scheme offers the opportunity for our chemists to progress professionally and achieve world recognised status with the Royal Society of Chemistry. We are proud of the success of the scheme and the quality of the chemists within Domino who have successfully achieved CChem status.”
Mariam Khalfey, who is currently expanding her skillset with a secondment in Product Management as a Data Product Owner, said: “The Scheme has allowed me to achieve accredited status from past successes at Domino and has been a great opportunity to reflect on these achievements.”
Mohanad Aldib added: “In my current role as Senior Chemist in the UV Ink Development Team, I am involved in improving the R&D capability of ink testing at an early stage of ink development.”
Solomon Kimani said: “The one-year process of working towards being a Chartered Chemist has given me an opportunity to reflect, demonstrate and celebrate the skills, knowledge, and professional and personal growth acquired over time.”
Domino’s RSC Accredited Training Scheme has been running since 2013 and since then, 16 chemists have achieved Chartered Chemists status.
