Domino launches new printer to meet COVID-19 manufacturing challenges
October 2, 2020
A Cambridge company and world leader in coding and marking technology and consumables has launched its latest printer to help manufacturers deal with rapid changes in production schedules and fluctuations in consumer demand – experienced particularly during the current Coronavirus pandemic.
Domino Printing has released the Gx-Series, a thermal ink jet printer, which produces accurate coding, with the ability to create high-quality, machine-readable codes for marketing information, traceability data and serialisation.
Alexandros Mountis, TIJ Product Manager at Domino, says: “Today, more than ever, manufacturers need to be equipped to handle last minute changes to production schedules, including quick product changeovers, in order to satisfy demand.
“The Gx-Series has been designed with this level of agility in mind – to help manufacturers keep pace with the pressures of a modern marketplace.
“Currently, key industries including food, beverage and pharmaceuticals are struggling with unprecedented levels of demand owing to the Coronavirus pandemic, which can be especially difficult to address, while adhering to Government advice on social distancing and coping with a reduction in staff numbers.”
The Gx-Series has been developed and rigorously tested in consultation with Domino’s team and customers across the globe, to deliver a solution that meets manufacturers’ needs now and in the future.
Gx-Series printers are easy to use and integrate into existing manufacturing processes which gives Domino customers greater control over their product labelling. They can be controlled via an intuitive user interface and touch screen or remotely via web browser.
