Domino Printing appoints new Chief Information Officer
July 2, 2020
Domino Printing has announced the appointment of Alberto Sanson as Chief Information Officer (CIO), following the retirement of Dick Wallin who led the company’s IT team for the past 20 years.
As CIO, Alberto’s responsibilities include leading Domino’s IT function as a key member of the Executive Leadership team.
An experienced IT leader, with in-depth experience of managing and developing global teams, Alberto has a strong track record in driving strategies to deliver business results.
He joins from Illinois Tool Works, where he held the position of Group IT Director for the company’s $1.7bn construction segment. Prior to this, Alberto’s career has included positions of increasing IT leadership responsibility, in fast-paced, changing, global industrial and technology companies where he demonstrated strong technical and managerial breadth.
Alberto has a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, a Master’s in Intelligent & Multimedia Systems and an MBA.
Speaking about his new role, Alberto said: “My goal is to build on what Dick Wallin has already achieved in transforming Domino’s global IT organisation into a trusted business partner, delivering an IT strategy that aligns with and moves the larger business strategy forward.
“Accelerating that digital transformation is central. My role as IT leader continues to evolve; it is no longer just about maintaining systems, but instead driving innovation in processes, behaviour and how we apply technology. Our objective is to improve both the experience we provide for our customers and our operational efficiency, to deliver genuine, long-term competitive advantage.”
Robert Pulford, Domino Chief Executive added: “I am delighted to welcome Alberto to our Executive Leadership team and wish him every success in his new role. His in-depth experience of leading sophisticated IT functions in dynamic industrial and technology businesses will be invaluable to us in the rapidly-changing times in which we operate, allowing us to build upon our already strong foundations and support our objectives for an agile, sustainable and innovative global business.”
