EACH carol concert is set to sprinkle some festive magic
October 23, 2023
A sparkling concert bursting with Christmas spirit is set to bring the joys of the season to Cambridge.
The festive fundraiser is being organised by East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) at Great St Mary’s Church.
Hosted by esteemed broadcaster and EACH President Sir Martyn Lewis, it will feature carols, poems, readings and talented guest singer Gemma Alexander.
Singers from Vox Cantab, a choir consisting mainly of Cambridge University students and alumni, will be lending their stunning voices and there will be a talk by Katherine Walters, an EACH Music Therapist, about her work at Milton.
It is also hoped a family member being supported by the charity will speak about their experiences and the difference it makes.
Tina Burdett, EACH’s Community Fundraising Manager, said: “We’re very much looking forward to what will undoubtedly be a very special, magic and memorable night at the beautiful Great St Mary’s Church.
“It’s going to be a completely joyful, light and uplifting evening and a real treat in the run-up Christmas.
“It’s an opportunity to bring members of the community together to enjoy the joys of the season, while also raising vital funds for our charity.”
The concert, sponsored by VMhosts, is being held on Friday 8 December, from 7.30pm.
Tickets start from £10.00. For more information and to book your place, head here.
