Join our campaign and make a difference by volunteering in your local community
November 2, 2021
A campaign has been launched to recruit fundraising volunteers to help at East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) events.
The charity is on the lookout for additional people to lend a hand and support its various fundraising activities. This could be at its own events or those organised by a third party, corporate and community speaking or bucket and pot collections.
The campaign, which will hopefully boost numbers, is called #WeNeedYou – Be the difference, be an EACH Champion.
EACH Volunteer Services and Development Manager, Hannah Milbourne said: “We are in need of volunteers to join our fun and friendly team and help support our fundraising activities and events across East Anglia.
“By agreeing to help, people will be joining together and becoming part of something that helps their local community.
“We offer a range of opportunities that are fun and flexible, and can be done at a time to suit you. I believe there really is something everyone can do.
“It’s about volunteering your way and whatever you do will make a big difference, helping us raise vital funds to support children and young people with life-threatening conditions in your local area.
“Like lots of charities, we’ve seen a reduction in volunteers since the pandemic, so just getting involved now will make a real difference, even if it’s just for an hour or two. It really is so valuable to us.
“Volunteering can give you the chance to attend fun local events and meet new people, all while helping a local charity, so please do come and join us.”
EACH cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk.
The charity organised a successful campaign earlier this year to recruit more volunteers for its retail sector.
