Garden House Cambridge to open on 10 September 2021
August 25, 2021
10 September 2021 will see the launch of Garden House, a new restaurant within the newly opened Graduate Cambridge, nestled on the banks of the River Cam. Ahead of next month’s official launch, Garden House has today opened reservation lines, and is now taking bookings for 10 September onwards. Bookings can be made via the Garden House website: gardenhousecambridge.co.uk
Adam Wood, formerly of London’s award winning Perilla, will lead the kitchen with his focus on open-flame cooking and seasonal East Anglian produce. Garden House will be a seasonable contemporary restaurant in one of Britain’s best loved and historic cities. Set within the Graduate Cambridge, Garden House acknowledges a local continuity by remembering the original Garden House Hotel which stood on the same site for much of the 20th century.
Wood’s menu will be largely flame focussed, with seasonally changing dishes. The summer menu is broad and varied including, to start, ‘native oysters, gooseberry and jalapeno’, and ‘raw longhorn beef, soured cream, salted blackcurrants & coriander’, main courses include ‘grilled Norfolk quail, pickled cherry and chicory’, ‘Huntsham farm pork, smoked anchovy & romaine’, or ‘Flourish Farm tomato tart, summer greens and ricotta’. There will also be a signature dessert of ‘Cambridge Burnt Cream Tart.’
Alongside Garden House, Graduate Cambridge will also comprise The Garden Bar, a large, oval bar nestled in the centre of the hotel, as well as a café and flexible gathering space, and al fresco dining spaces all developed and operated in partnership with White Rabbit Projects (Lina Stores, Kricket, Island Poké.)
Garden House officially opens on 10 September 2021. Reservations are now open gardenhousecambridge.co.uk @gardenhousecambridge
