If you travel on a Greater Anglia train, here’s something you won’t want to be without
November 21, 2019
Greater Anglia rail passengers can receive tailored updates about their individual journeys from the train operator’s app.
By pulling through data from the National Rail Enquiries live train running database, Greater Anglia’s app displays pop-ups in its journey planner section containing service updates for specific journeys.
And now, by clicking on the pop-up, passengers can click through for more detail from the National Rail Enquiries website.
Martin Moran, Greater Anglia’s Commercial and Customer Services Director, said: “This is an invaluable customer service upgrade which gives passengers a really simple way to see what’s happening with their specific journey and be able to plan accordingly.
“It’s completely tailored to their journey via the ‘Plan and Buy’ journey planner so they won’t have to spend ages searching online and wading through irrelevant information to get the information they need, as we are pro-actively providing it through the app.
“I recommend that people who travel with us download the app and start enjoying all the benefits and convenience it offers.”
The app can show journeys outside of the Greater Anglia network, so is also useful when planning a longer journey.
90,000 passengers already use the Greater Anglia app for buying tickets, including finding the cheapest tickets for their journey, reserving seats, having mobile or e-tickets sent straight to their phones, avoiding booking fees and queues at ticket machines, and checking train times.
