Isopod Rapid Cleanrooms – providing small-scale segregation solutions for larger turnkey projects

September 17, 2024

The Guardtech Group’s modular cleanroom pod systems are the perfect accompaniment to their major Cleanroom Solutions facility installations.

THE GUARDTECH GROUP pride themselves on providing a ‘total cleanroom package’ – ensuring every base is covered when it comes to a controlled environment installation project.
This is no more evident than in a complex, large-scale turnkey installation with Cleanroom Solutions – where everything from incredibly tightly controlled HVAC or daring ductwork to a wealth of utilities or process gasses is all taken care of by the Guardtech Group.

But another aspect of this comprehensive controlled environment solution, that often gets overlooked when it comes to contamination control, is segregation.

When it comes to ISO 14644 standards, and in particular performance test methods in part 3, assessing the separation effectiveness achieved by a specific airflow is a vitally important test metric.

And when it comes to simply protecting part of your process from cross-contamination or achieving segregation for another critical reason, whether the airflow is unidirectional or non-unidirectional, the Guardtech Group has an elite solution – Isopod Rapid Cleanrooms.

Isopod is a small-scale modular pod system developed from the same intellectual property as their Guardtech Cleanrooms modular cleanrooms – only free-standing within a stainless-steel framework.

Isopods can be installed with castors, allowing them to be freely moved around a room – or indeed premises, and come in the following standard pod sizes: 2x3m, 3x3m, 3x4m, 4x4m and 3x5m.

Clients can also opt for bespoke models, with additional HVAC upgrades and higher-grade components, but standard models are designed to be robust yet super-quick, ‘off-the-shelf’ cleanroom pods that draw in air from the host building’s HVAC system and provide an extra level of protection for whatever process needs to take place in the segregated zone.

Guardtech Group Business Development Manager Steve Bawa, who helps to provide Isopods for clients all over the UK and beyond, said: “If you require an added layer of protection within a process suite, there really isn’t a better solution than Isopod.

“Our Design and Manufacturing teams have put in countless hours of R&D to ensure we have a solution that performs as effectively as our standard modular cleanrooms.

“Whether that’s a Hardwall Shell pod, Softwall Flexi model or dual genus Hybrid offering the best of both worlds, this is a product that literally delivers on our name – we guard your tech!”
The Guardtech Group recently launched a new campaign to celebrate their role as ‘facilitators of greatness’.

The celebration kicked off with the term HOPE – which represents: Helping Our Partners Excel – and illuminated the role a Cleanroom Solutions turnkey project can have in providing a platform for amazing Life Science and High-Tech Engineering applications to conduct their groundbreaking work.

“Isopods do the same thing – just on a smaller scale,” adds Bawa. “It can even be the same clients as a Cleanroom Solutions large-scale build, doing the same innovative Research & Development. Maybe they need an extra level of protection for some kind of Electronics assembly, packaging or injection moulding.

“In terms of upgrading a production environment in a sustainable, practical and cost-effective way, Isopod really is THE solution your business needs.”
