Notice of traffic management at Millstone Park, Burwell

This Land™ wishes to give advance notice for increased traffic management controls and road closure due to take place at its Millstone Park development in Burwell. The works are taking place to create site access to allow the development to progress as planned as well as to complete a section of the highly anticipated Burwell Exning cycle link.

Newmarket Road in Burwell, Cambridge, CB25 0BA will have increased traffic management in the form of a mixture of two-way and three-way traffic lights starting on 27 February 2023. Part of the road will also be closed for two weeks from 17 April-29 April 2023 and 11 September-25 September 2023. This Land™ is awaiting the Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) for the road closures to be approved. These are usually viewed by the council one month before the events take place. The increased traffic management measures have been approved by the County Council Highways and notified formally by the Highways Authority.

The works are essential for the transformative development at Millstone Park to continue. The completed scheme will provide a range of homes including affordable housing. There will also be facilities such as children’s play areas, and open spaces with increased tree planting to keep sustainability and biodiversity at the forefront of the project.
