Spirited Santas get up Claus and personal for a day of festive fun in Cambridge
December 13, 2021
There were Father Christmases left, right and Santa during a day of festive fundraising at Granta Park, in Cambridge.
Staff from various businesses dressed up like the great man himself for a special 5km run. Fifteen firms were represented and together they raised more than £2,500 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
Billie Race, EACH Corporate Fundraiser, said: “It was a fantastic day, full of festive fun.
“This is an established event in our calendar and it was lovely to be back, having been forced to miss out last year. Everyone involved was a great sport and got in the spirit, sharing a laugh and joke while running in their Santa outfits.
“We hope to have raised over £2,500 which is a fantastic outcome and will help us continue supporting families and caring for children and young people in Cambridgeshire and across East Anglia.”
150 people signed-up to take part and ran, jogged or walked the course, helping paint the park red for an event that was first held in 2014.
It was kindly sponsored by BioMed Realty and supported by Granta Park and Bidwells.
