The Cambridge Building Society supports International Fraud Awareness Week
November 13, 2023
International Fraud Awareness Week has officially begun worldwide, and The Cambridge Building Society is fully committed to playing its part in helping its customers stay vigilant against fraudsters.
In these trying economic times, when financial crimes are more enticing and prevalent than ever, it’s crucial to stay sharp.
Financial Crime Officer at The Cambridge, Tristan Katanica, said: “We take the protection of our members and our people very seriously and supporting International Fraud Awareness Week is one of several initiatives we take part in.”
“We will be sharing insights, raising awareness of fraud and how to protect against it internally with our team members, and on our website, and social media channels for our customers.
“Being aware and keeping vigilant is half the battle in safeguarding against potential fraud, which is why we want to provide as much support as possible for everyone to know what to look out for and what to do.”
Tomorrow (Tuesday 14 November), the mutual is paying a visit to Manor Care Home in Cambridge to assist its residents in identifying scams and offering tips to protect their hard-earned money.
