Norwich based accountancy firm raise £1,400 for charity, in memory of late colleague and Norwich resident John Warren
March 3, 2025

In cases of sudden cardiac events, evidence shows that access to an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) device within the first 3-5 minutes increases the chance of survival by over 40%.
John Warren, a respected member of the Partnership team at accountancy firm Price Bailey, had worked from the firm’s Norwich Office since 2010. Following his sad passing in April 2024, colleagues from across Price Bailey came together to raise money for charity, in honour of John.
Together the Price Bailey Norwich team raised £1,400, through a charity quiz night, and raffle, where colleagues donated on entry and gave prizes in support. At the request of the Warren family, donations were put towards the installation of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) at the Oak Circus Centre, a venue that hosted John at a networking event shortly before his passing.
Commenting on the donation, Annabel Carberry, Director at The Oak Circus Centre, said: “We are deeply grateful for the generous donation of the defibrillator at the Oak Circus Centre, a vital resource that honours the memory of John Warren. His unwavering commitment to our community and his work at Price Bailey in Norwich will always be remembered.
“This life-saving equipment not only serves as a tribute to John’s legacy but also ensures that we are even more equipped to respond in emergencies, reflecting our collective responsibility to safeguard the health and well-being of our community.”
In support, local firm of electricians Direct Electrical, donated their time to provide a free installation of the AED. Commenting on the installation, Grant Charlton, Director at Direct Electrical said: “The team at Direct Electrical were delighted to support Price Bailey, Oak Circus Centre and the Warren family with a free installation of the AED.
“It was moving to see the fundraising efforts from John’s colleagues, and I hope the installation offers some comfort to all those who knew him. Our thoughts remain with John’s family, friends and colleagues.”
James Elvin, Senior Manager at Price Bailey, also comments: “Colleagues across Price Bailey were deeply saddened to learn of the death of John Warren. John was a valued associate and a dear friend.
“Our Norwich team raised a remarkable sum in John’s memory, and I was pleased this was put towards the installation of a defibrillator at the Oak Circus Centre, at the request of the Warren family.
“We would also like to express our gratitude to the team at Direct Electrical for the time they kindly donated when installing the device.
“Our thoughts remain with John’s family and friends”.
