Construction Networking – Planning

Join us for our popular Construction and Property Networking Lunch, this time with the theme of Planning.

The event will focus on the government’s consultation on proposed reforms to the National Planning Policy Framework and other changes to the planning system. This will include a panel discussion with a range of speakers involved in the process.

A networking buffet lunch will also be included, a great chance to make connections across the sector.

Jim Newton – Service Director for Growth and Regeneration – Peterborough City Council

I have worked for local authorities, as a planner, for 25 years.  My experience spans urban city councils, rural districts, large and small authorities. I have worked in four different regions. I have been a chartered town planner since 2003, and was first made Head of Planning by a Council in 2014. My brief, when I arrived at Peterborough in 2022, was to improve the planning service, to address its acknowledged problems.
