Diversity & Inclusion Foundation Course
When it comes to action and managing organisational change it’s usually HR and People professionals who find themselves on the front line of the discussion.
HR, People, and OD teams are expected to be on top of their game when it comes to conversations about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, often without having the time or resources to do their own learning on the subject first. As the people and change experts of the business, DEI strategies tend to start with you. The responsibility for “making it happen” somehow ends up on your to-do list, along with everything else that seems to be remotely connected to people or culture.
This can be scary.
Where do you start?
What if you say or do the wrong thing?
What if something happens and you need to respond, but you have no idea how to?
This is where I can help you.
I have designed a program specifically for people professionals to help you access all the information you need to navigate conversations and make well informed decisions within your organisation. You will gain confidence on the topic of DEI, identify the challenges that are specific to your business, AND learn approaches to gain the leadership buy-in you need to create psychologically safe and inclusive cultures.
Taking place over 6 online sessions I will take you through:
• The basics of equality, equity, diversity, inclusion, and psychological safety
• Understanding our personal identities, biases, and what gives us “the fear” around having inclusive conversations
• The link to culture and values, and creating strategies
• Understanding data, priorities, and deliverables
• Goal setting, and accountability
Plus there will be a special guest speaker session to give you additional insight into a particular topic. Previous speaker topics have included inclusive recruitment, transgender awareness, and neurodiversity inclusion.
Sessions will be held on alternating Wednesdays starting on 11th September, between 09:30 and 12:30.
