Connecting with the Future: Huntingdonshire Business Forum
Join us at the Huntingdonshire Business Forum, where business leaders, educators, and training providers will come together to explore the future of the local workforce. This event, supported by the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP), will focus on best practices in workforce development, apprenticeship opportunities, and the evolving skills landscape. Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit the Careers Fair at the college on the same day, where businesses can create valuable connections with future talent.
Keynote Speaker: Michael Moriarty
The forum will feature insights from Michael Moriarty, Employee Services Director at Mick George Ltd. With over 11 years of experience, Michael has led initiatives to create employment opportunities for individuals facing barriers to work.
His focus includes recruiting prison leavers, young people classified as NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training), and individuals with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), helping them gain access to sustainable careers. Passionate about breaking down employment barriers, Michael champions apprenticeships and tailored support programs to help individuals rebuild their lives.
By working closely with community organisations, training providers, and businesses, he strives to create inclusive pathways that give everyone a fair chance at meaningful employment. His extensive work in employment inclusion and workforce development makes him a key voice in shaping regional skills strategies.
