Net Zero and the supply chain: what it means for goods and service providers

This workshop is invaluable for businesses interested in becoming more sustainable. Devised and delivered by Planet Mark, specialists in sustainability certification and achieving net zero, the session will cover a range of topics including:

– The effect of the net zero policy on supply chains.
– How UK government regulations affect larger organisations.
– The nature of associated scope 3 emissions in creating a “regulatory waterfall” that indirectly includes the whole supply chain within these regulations.
– The steps businesses can take to comply with these requirements and how they can become more attractive to potential suppliers.
– The workshop will be delivered through a combination of educational presentation, case study analysis and roundtable discussion.
– All attendees will receive an information pack and toolkit of useful links and resources.

Meet the trainer – Ruari Phipps, Planet Mark
Ruari Phipps is a Net Zero Engagement Manager at Planet Mark. After completing a Masters in Sustainability and Consultancy at the University of Leeds, Ruari began life at work as a carbon data analyst, progressing through to becoming a sustainability consultant and gaining vast insight into the world of carbon accounting in doing so. A move over to Planet Mark’s engagement team now sees Ruari take this insight into workshops and training sessions, helping organisations to understand the requirements and key considerations to begin their journey on the road to Net Zero.
