Networking Event: The story of Bango: Ray Anderson, co-Founder

Join Cambridge Network to hear the inspiring story of Cambridge-based digital payments company Bango, whose innovative technology supports businesses such as Amazon, Google and Microsoft worldwide, enabling their customers to reach 4.5 billion individuals online, across 75 countries. Hear how an established company navigates new markets and what it’s like to work in at the forefront of new technologies.

As streaming services become more prevalent, Bango is perfectly poised to super-bundle these transactions too. Hear from co-Founder Ray Anderson as he highlights where Bango is currently and where the market may go. Join us to hear a talk about Cambridge tech with time for networking afterwards.

Since 1999 Cambridge-based Bango has been a company of ‘firsts – pioneering the first credit card and PayPal payments from mobile browsers, to being part of the prelaunch of Android Marketplace – now Google Play.

Recently, Bango introduced the Digital Vending Machine (DVM) to the market. Streaming subscriptions have transformed the media and content industries. Now, many more services are provided as subscriptions from automobile purchases and add-ons to food delivery, healthcare and productivity. It’s estimated that 29% of US subscribers will take out a new subscription to a streaming service to watch the Olympics. The market for subscriptions in 2026 is expected to be worth over $400B for content alone, and over $1Trillion including retail subscriptions. Bango could be the super-bundler processing millions of these transactions.

Join us to hear how an established company navigates new markets and what it’s like to work in at the forefront of new technologies. Founders, investors, engineers and all interested very welcome.

Listed on The London Stock Exchange (AIM: BGO) in 2005, Bango provides unique technology and services used by global leaders to grow their online commerce faster and more effectively. Bango customers include Amazon, Google, Samsung, Softbank and Microsoft.
