New Year, New Connections POSTPONED

Come along to our charity event ‘New Year, New Connections’, held across two beautiful Cambridge city hotels for business networking and a showcase of environmentally sustainable hospitality.

We’re delighted to be hosted by Turing Locke and Hyatt Centric Cambridge for this event, who will provide drinks and canapes at their environmentally sustainable hotels in Eddington.

Start the new year by making new connections and taking the opportunity to have a tour of the hotels, see the facilities available plus outstanding examples of environmental stewardship.

Turing Locke is a sleek, avant-garde style aparthotel in the brand-new, sustainable district of Eddington. Meanwhile Hyatt Centric is perfectly positioned for adventure, based just outside the historic centre of Cambridge. Both hotels hold environmental sustainability at the heart of their ethos and reflect this in their guests’ experiences.

Join us for refreshments and networking, as we learn about and see first-hand some best-practice in the hospitality sector, including:
– Local carbon construction and design, including protecting site biodiversity, and harnessing renewable energy, including solar power and a district heating network.
– Cambridge Sustainable Food approach to reducing food waste and carbon emissions through sourcing local produce.
– Low waste, plastic free methods for hospitality, making use of re-usable, recyclable and biodegradable materials for laundry, service and more.
– Careful use of place and space, including a courtyard eco-garden, sustainable transport options including electric vehicle charging, guest cycle hire and electric shuttle bus connecting the hotel to key points across the city.

All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to our charity of the year, Anna’s Hope. This amazing charity supports families with young children facing treatment for brain tumours. Anna’s Hope provides specialist neurorehabilitation in partnership with Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.
