We’re looking for cloud support engineers with a broad spectrum of skills and a deep understanding of both virtualisation technologies and supporting infrastructure. Initial responsibilities will include designing, building, documenting, supporting, troubleshooting, and configuration management of private and edge cloud solutions. However, the role is intended to develop and can be shaped to match the candidate’s career aspirations; devops, product design and innovation, management, everything is possible!

Successful candidates will need to have a minimum of 5+ years experience, or recognised certification, in some or all of the following:

· vSphere 6.7/7.0
· Cloud Director
· NSX-T
· vSAN
· iSCSI and NFS
· vRealize Operations, Orchestration, automation, suite
· vLog/Network insights
· Lifecycle Management
· Cloud Director Availability
· Kubernetes/Tanzu
· Veeam
· Networking Layer 2 & 3 (switches, routers, VLAN)
· BGP/OSPF
· Network and application security (firewall, NAT, IPSEC/VPN, IPS/IDS, SSL/TLS, Load-balance, Zero Trust, Micro segmentation)
· Linux and Windows server management and configuration

Additional skills which would be an advantage but not mandatory:

· Open source such as OpenStack and OpenNebula
· KVM
· Hybrid cloud environments
· Scripting: Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash
· Pure Storage
· AWS, Azure, Google management
· VCAP – Datacentre Design
· VCAP – Cloud Management and Automation
· VCAP – Network Virtualisation
· Master Specialist – HCI or VCF

Certification is great, but there is no substitute for on-the-job training and real-life experience!

Location: Candidates must be based in the UK and be able to commute to Cambridge or Bournemouth.
