We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic candidate to join our South East New Energy Programme delivery team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and eager to work with other members of the team as they support businesses to make grant applications for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to start or further their career in the environmental business support sector.

Purpose of role:

The South East New Energy programme aims to build a stronger Local Energy and Low Carbon Economy in the South East of England. It will achieve this by providing support to a range of individuals and organisations, and by understanding and addressing the barriers to the decarbonisation of communities, buildings, transport, and lives. The programme is led by the University of East London and is funded by the European Regional Development Fund. The programme launched in late 2020 and is due to close in mid-2023.

The successful candidate will work directly with the Grant Scheme team as they provide assistance and support to businesses applying for grant support for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. The role will aim jointly to ensure that the customer journey for grant applicants is as accessible and efficient as possible, as well as support the other Grant Scheme team members to facilitate grant applications, facilitate grant claims, and ensure the project is managed in an ERDF compliant manner.

The role will also involve co-ordinating the preparation of evidence and documentation for support the submission of quarterly funding claims to the University of East London

This is a fixed term role until September 2023
