Living Sport’s strategic aim across Cambridgeshire & Peterborough is
“Improving health and wellbeing by supporting people to get active”.
As an Active Partnership we do this by increasing opportunities to be active and participate in sport and physical activity throughout Cambridgeshire & Peterborough by connecting, supporting, and developing people and organisations to deliver high quality events and activities in their local communities.
We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team. Aimed at increasing the extra-curricular sport and physical activity opportunities available to young people as part of COVID-19 recovery, we’re looking for a School Sport Community Manager to join our team.
You’ll lead the implementation of the Opening Up School Facilities programme, providing project management for every element of the programme. You will make sure prioritisation and evaluation is founded on insight and work directly with identified schools to develop improvement action plans.
You will make sure provision is inclusive and accessible for underserviced young people and you will manage the distribution and monitoring of funding to schools. Working collaboratively with internal colleagues you will ensure that the programme supports the wider Living Sport School Sport and Children and Young People work.
With experience working in youth, or education sectors, you will have the skills to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively. If you have a passion for improving outcomes for young people, this is the role for you.
