Hegarty marks 50-year milestone with 50 community initiatives – and a modern new look
April 2, 2024
Local solicitor firm, Hegarty, a long-term fixture within the region’s legal and business landscape, is celebrating an exciting new chapter this year as it celebrates five decades of being a trusted legal companion to people in and around Peterborough.
As part of its 50th anniversary celebrations, the firm is honouring the values and ‘local firm’ ethos that has defined its identity for half a century, by embarking on an inspiring journey of community kindness with 50 initiatives planned over the next 12 months.
The range of activities, from tree planting to bake sales, and even a slightly more strenuous Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge adventure, aims to help local residents, causes, communities and charities in a variety of ways.
Hegarty will also be upping its usual single annual charity partner from one to four this year, with a charity close to each of its office locations – Sports Connections Foundation in Peterborough, MindSpace in Stamford, Pepper’s A Safe Place in Oakham and Dementia Support in Market Deeping – all benefiting from a fundraising boost in 2024.
Right now, a group of trepid hikers from the Hegarty team are training for the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge – one of the larger of the 50 planned fundraising initiatives! Members of the Hegarty team will cover all three peaks, totalling an impressive 24 miles, from Friday 21st June to Sunday 23rd June, all in aid of raising much-needed funds for its four charities.
The team has been working hard, gathering the equipment they need and getting practice and training in for the challenge later this year.
The target is to raise £3,000 from the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge which will go a long way to meeting the firm’s fundraising goal for the year of £10,000. All of the money raised for the four charities from activities like the 3 Peak Challenge will be split equally at the end of this year.
In addition to the 50 community initiatives and charity partnerships, Hegarty has unveiled a modern new look to commemorate its 50th-year milestone.
The rebrand extends to a fresh new logo, modernised website and updated building signage, preserving the familiarity that clients have come to associate with the firm whilst acknowledging its evolution over the years.
Kally Singh, senior partner at the firm, shared his enthusiasm for the 50th-anniversary celebrations, “This is a momentous occasion for Hegarty, but as we celebrate, we are mindful of the trust our community has placed in us over the past 5 decades.”
“Our 50 community initiatives are a way to give back, express gratitude, and foster connections, and we can’t wait to get started!”
“The rebranding too, helps solidify our identity as a ‘local law firm’ which is incredibly important to us. We’re ready to take on the next 50 years and continue to be a trusted legal partner for the people of Peterborough and its surrounding communities.”
Hegarty was established in 1974 and is one of the largest law firms in the region. The firm offers a wide range of legal expertise as property conveyancers, experts in wills, trust and probate issues and as family law solicitors from its offices in Peterborough, Stamford, Oakham and Market Deeping.
