Get ready to kick off this Christmas season in dazzling style with the astonishing Luxmuralis light show, “Starlight,” at Peterborough Cathedral. Running from November 12-16, 2024. This spectacular event will light up the city centre and transform the Cathedral, inside and out, into a breathtaking canvas of light and sound.

Created by the renowned artists at Luxmuralis, “Starlight” will offer a captivating modern retelling of the Nativity Story, projected onto the historic architecture of Peterborough Cathedral. The immersive experience blends stunning visual artistry with a moving soundscape, creating an uplifting journey that will enchant viewers of all ages.

Paul Stainton is the Head of Marketing and Communications at the Cathedral and says people will be completely bowled over by the whole event;

“The new Starlight show will light up the interior of our amazing cathedral like never before and this year we are illuminating the outside of the cathedral once again, which people have told us that they absolutely love. We will also have a new food and drink area in our specially illuminated cloisters with things like hot chocolate, mulled wine and mince pies to get everyone in the festive spirit. I really can’t wait for the unofficial start of Christmas!”
