Peterborough Cathedral to host outdoor ‘Alice in Wonderland’ show

July 21, 2022

Peterborough Cathedral’s Cloisters are the venue for an outdoor matinee performance of Alice in Wonderland, on Thursday 28 July at 2.00pm.

Join Alice as she embarks on her magical adventures through Wonderland and meets the White Rabbit and the Cheshire Cat, and attends the Mad Hatter’s tea party with more larger-than-life characters.

This is a brand new adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s family favourite from KD Theatre, who are excited to be bringing the production to Peterborough.

Daniel Bell from KD Theatre said: “We are thrilled to be returning to the stunning grounds of Peterborough Cathedral. We promise to bring you a high energy, colourful and musical performance for all the family.”

Their playful take on the classic tale features a professional cast of performers, catchy new songs and lots of humour to entertain and delight the audience. Don’t be late for this very important date!

This is an outdoor production, so the audience is invited to bring foldaway chairs, blankets and a picnic, and come dressed for the weather with sunhats or waterproofs depending on the forecast. This performance is one of a series this summer, including The Jungle Book and Pygmalion on 30 July and The Three Musketeers on 19 August. For more information see Live in the Cloisters.

Tickets are £15 for adults, £10 for children or £45 for a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children). A booking fee applies. They can be booked via the Cathedral website www.peterborough-cathedral.org.uk.
