Peterborough Cathedral’s Summer Craft & Gift Market Returns with a Brand-New Farmers Market!

Peterborough Cathedral is delighted to announce the return of its much-loved Summer Craft, Gift & Farmers Market, taking place on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th July 2025. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better with the exciting addition of a brand-new Farmers Market.

Held both inside the magnificent Cathedral and outside in the beautiful Cathedral Precincts, the market offers a unique chance to shop for handmade treasures in one of the most iconic settings in the city. Visitors can explore a wide variety of stalls featuring local arts, crafts and independent traders offering everything from handmade jewellery and ceramics to unique gifts, textiles, and homewares.

New for 2025! – the market will be extending its food offering to include a Farmers Market – a celebration of local food and drink. Expect to find an abundance of fresh produce baked goods, jams, sweet treats, and more. With passionate local growers, bakers and producers on hand, it’s a fantastic opportunity to support small businesses and stock up on delicious, quality ingredients.

Head of Operations at the Cathedral, Maria Elsey said: “We’re so excited to welcome visitors and stallholders back to the Cathedral for this years’ Summer Market. The addition of the Farmers’ Market brings a whole new flavour to the event – quite literally! It’s a wonderful opportunity to support local makers and producers, enjoy the beautiful Cathedral setting, and soak up the lively summer atmosphere. There really is something for everyone.”

The Summer Craft, Gift & Farmers Market is open from 13.00 to 20:00 on Friday and 10.00 to 17.00 on Saturday. Entry is £3 (£5 for VIP first viewing) with donations to the Cathedral warmly welcomed.
